They are compatible with semi-automatic (lever lock) crampons and have a fairly rigid sole, which makes them a great choice for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepman.is\/tours\/ice-climbing-day-tour\/\">ice climbing<\/a> and any other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepman.is\/tours\/glacier-hike-breidamerkurjokull\/\">glacier activities<\/a>. Note that due to the rigid construction the walking experience of mountaineering boots is different from softer hiking footwear, and in some cases may lead to sore spots or blisters &#8211; especially when paired with thin socks. Choosing thicker socks (or two pairs), and possibly going up a half size in shoe size to accommodate the extra volume, may help.<\/p>\n<p>We initially have only a limited number of boots available; if you can&#8217;t find a suitable size please be sure to let us know &#8211; the plan is to expand our range in the future, and knowing which sizes we are missing will help.<\/p>\n<p>Please note boot rental is currently only possible in combination with our tours &#8211; I can&#8217;t offer those boots for your independent activities (but, again, if there is sufficient demand, this might change).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t have suitable boots for glacier tours?
